Wash & Whirl is a locally owned New Zealand business led by directors Solomon Panoho and Robert Stillion, with shareholder Cashel King helping shape its future.

Our mission is to make self-service laundry cleaner, easier and more comfortable—then bring that standard to communities across New Zealand.

At 17 and still at school, Cashel brings a young customer’s perspective as a shareholder in the company. The team combines practical thinking, local ownership and a long-term plan for responsible growth.

When will Wash & Whirl open?+

The first location is being planned. Confirmed addresses and opening dates will be announced here.

Will every laundromat be open 24/7?+

Yes. Our planned operating model is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, supported by CCTV and 24-hour customer assistance.

How do I select and pay for a machine?+

Load your numbered machine first. At the kiosk, select the washer or dryer, machine number and payment method. Where Mobile Pay is enabled, scan the machine’s QR code or tap its NFC tag and pay in your phone browser. Follow the screen or machine prompt to start the cycle.

Do I need to download an app?+

No. Tangerpay Mobile Pay works in a phone browser without an app download or account. An optional Wash & Whirl membership may be offered separately for rewards.

Can I pay with cash or coins?+

Card and mobile-wallet payments are planned. Cash is available only with selected Tangerpay kiosk models, and final cash or coin options will be confirmed for each Wash & Whirl location.

How will I know when my load is finished?+

SMS completion reminders are supported by Tangerpay and are planned where enabled. Follow the payment screen to add your mobile number if the option is available.

Can I wash pet bedding?+

Dedicated pet-laundry machines are planned to keep pet items separate from standard customer machines.
